Bachelor of Science in Technical Resource Management (TRM)

TRM Management Concepts

Mt. Vernon Degree Program

 

The Bachelor of Science Degree in Technical Resource Management (TRM) adds to your previous technical training through a combination of University Core Curriculum requirements, TRM core requirements, technical and resource management requirements, and approved advanced electives.

 

Quality Managers monitoring manufacturing process

The TRM Mt. Vernon program is designed to serve

individuals and multiple industries in Central and Southern Illinois. Classes are delivered in two formats:

  • On-site at the Rend Lake MarketPlace (general public) and at Continental Tire (employees only).
     
  • On-line

The TRM major courses will be delivered over 4 semesters, 3 courses per semester. Students are responsible for working with the TRM advisor to coordinate completion of remaining degree requirements, such as University Core Curriculum (UCC) and/or technical/career electives.

 

Fall 2009 Courses start August 24, and include:

  • TRM 464 Managing for Quality.  Delivered Aug 24 - Dec 18 (on-line)

  • *TRM 421 Professional Development.  Delivered Aug 24 - Oct 16 (on-site and via video-conferencing)

  • *TRM 332 Labor-Management Relations.  Delivered Oct 19 - Dec 18 (on-site and via video-conferencing)

*Note: On-site instruction will be on Mondays from 3:15 - 5:50. These accelerated courses are heavily supported with on-line activities.
